How to draw an airplane, step by step
Draw an airplane in five steps: a long rounded body pointing sideways, a wing across the middle, a second wing behind it, an upright tail fin, and a row of windows. It is almost entirely straight lines, which makes it easier than most animals for children who struggle with curves.

Before you start
- Draw the plane side-on and slightly tilted upward. A flat horizontal plane looks parked; a tilted one looks like it is flying.
- The nose is rounded, the tail is not — that difference is what makes it read as a plane.

What usually goes wrong
- Putting the wing at the very front. It belongs just past the middle.
- Drawing both wings the same size. The far wing is shorter because it is behind the body.
